The IMMAF certification program is the worlds leading certification program for Mixed Martial Arts professionals. Coaches with IMMAF credentials are employable worldwide, and officials can work internationally, including for huge organisations such as the UFC, BRAVE, Cage Warriors and more.
ATHLETE AND COACH PROGRESSION PATHWAYS
ZMMAA has adopted the IMMAF Talent Development and Grading Pathway, a technical progression tool designed to establish standards across the sport and provide national federations with a means to manage the progression of athletes and coaches. Integral to the progression pathway is the IMMAF Grading App (available on the Apple and Google Play Store). The app allows athletes to learn and practice real techniques and prepare for grading. In addition, it will enable coaches to keep a tab on their student’s progress and performs gradings that filter information back to ZMMAA and IMMAF via the app, making matchmaking easier.
The pathway was produced by the Head of IMMAF Development, Dr Andrew Moshanov, alongside the IMMAF Coaches Committee. Dr Moshanov brings vast experience to IMMAF with a lifetime of work developing sports such as Sambo and Judo with the IJF and British Judo organisations.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The IMMAF Coach Education and Certification program helps coaches develop the best level of competence, build presentation as well as teaching skills and acquire sound knowledge of training methodology. We aim to set the best standards for coaching practice in amateur MMA worldwide and regulatory standards to enable continuous professional development.
